"VERONNEAU could easily fit on jazz, world and pop radio... a kaleidoscope of internationally flavored tunes and varied textures delivered by a gorgeous voice." All About Jazz

"Veronneau Live at Blues Alley is a remarkable gem that deserves to be in your collection. Lynn Veornneau’s silky, multi-octave vocals…gritty, bluesy vocals of Ken Avis, and awesome violin from Dave Kline…..a stunning level of musicality.” Sounds of Timeless Jazz

In September 2021, after 550 days of closure due to the pandemic, VERONNEAU re-opened Washington DC’s legendary Blues Alley jazz club with a four night residency.

No one knew if audiences were ready to come to an intimate listening-room, but enthusiastic crowds greeted the band every night, eager to be lifted by the shared experience of live music with one of the region’s most popular bands. The Washington Post reviewed the opening show and declared it to be "Inspiring & joyful...excellent"! This WAMMIE award nominated album is dedicated to the enduring spirit of live music.

Founded and led by Quebecoise vocalist Lynn Veronneau, and British guitarist Ken Avis, VERONNEAU’s sound is "Global", "Jazzy", "Retro", "Original"...an acoustic, multilingual, world-jazz  sound. The band have toured Europe, the USA and Canada, appearing live on BBC radio, festival stages, and clubs, and at venues such as Kennedy Center, Strathmore, Blues Alley, The Hamilton, DC Jazz Fest and many more. In the USA mid-Atlantic area they've earned 7 WAMMIE awards for Best Vocals, Band and Recording Artists, and released 3 albums which have graced the Top 10 of the US World Music and Jazz chart

Joining the band on stage were long-time collaborator Dave Kline (violin), fellow French Canadian Karine Chapdelaine (bass), and Lucas Ashby (drums). Live sound was recorded by Alex Economu, and mixed by Dave Kline, with mastering completed by Charlie Pilzer at Tonal Park.
